A deep dive into “The Instant Millionaire” by Mark Fisher
Chapter 10 – Is Your Nightmare Real or NOT?
The millionaire continues, “The most important thing is to pretend that something is true. Why does this work with the sub-conscious mind? Simply because, though the sub-conscious mind may be powerful, it cannot discriminate between truth and falsehood. Think of a nightmare you may have had, where you wake in a cold sweat, it didn’t really happen at that moment but yet your body is telling you that it did. Your sub-conscious mind wasn’t able to differentiate between what was and wasn’t objectively true. And it reacted in a very specific way. If your mind had not accepted the threat in the nightmare – if it had, in a manner of speaking, closed the door to the sub-conscious mind – you wouldn’t have had the violent reaction that you did. You would have remained calm and the dream would not have woken you. The only solution, besides being the best and the quickest, is repetition.”
The repetition creates an indoctrination within us or a habit. If an athlete wants to be the best at his sport, he simply practices the same thing over and over until he succeeds. Yes, there are a few other factors, but if we look at the top athletes and business people in the world, they do more than what it takes to succeed. When others are out enjoying life, they are still training and practising and repeating what they want to be good at.
